Cinema Book Club

Item 1

Cinema Book Club

Like films? Like books? Like talking about films and books?

In association with Chapters Bookstore on Parnell St, Light House Cinema Book Club selects the best (and worst!) book to film adaptations to watch and discuss in our unique monthly book club. Each month we'll pick a different book and film adaptation for discussion. Read the book, then join us for the film and a discussion afterwards in our bar. Great chats, great people and great fun on the last Monday of every month.

Go to Chapters Bookstore on Parnell St. and mention the Light House Cinema Book Club to get 10% off your copy, then join us at Light House Cinema to watch the film and discuss the (de)merits of each in the bar afterwards. If you show your Chapters receipt at the Light House you get 10% off your ticket as well! No membership necessary but please be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for updates.

Tuesday 18th April, 6.30pm: ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST

This month's Cinema Book Club event is One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest by Ken Kesey and we're screening Milos Foreman's classic adaptation starring Jack Nicholson in one of his most iconic roles.

A criminal pleads insanity after getting into trouble again and once in the mental institution rebels against the oppressive nurse and rallies up the scared patients.

* Please note, that this screening will take place mid-month instead of our usual end of month slot. Apologies for any confusion and we will be back to our regular slot in May.
